So Meerkat is the big SXSW rage this year. The service, which allows you to quickly live stream video, then conveniently pushes the video link to your Twitter followers, does have some appeal in our “look at me” society.
Instead of rambling on about it in writing, here are some initial thoughts recorded in one of my first Meerkat streams.
As with any new social network, please don’t drop what you’re doing elsewhere and try to come up with Meerkat strategies. It’s another tool in your arsenal. Consider how it might be relevant to the messages you’re trying to convey to that Twitter follower audience. If any of them make sense in a live, streaming video, then you’ve got something.
