Unless you have a bunch of money to spend on expensive software packages, measurement and reporting influencer marketing campaigns can be a bitch. Even at agencies, where software is sometimes dependent on the client footing the bill, hours are eaten up every day by staff members going one-by-one to each influencer post or begging each individual influencer for their post analytics. God forbid you’re working on a scalable program where you’ve deployed dozens of influencers.
Enter MightyScout. They reached out to sponsor Winfluence recently so I told them you would appreciate a more in-depth review of the platform to go along with that. Plus, I don’t like accepting sponsorship offers from tools I wouldn’t use. Suffice to say, I would definitely use MightyScout! Here’s why:
This Instagram influencer management solution allows you to enter the handles of the influencers you’re working with, pull the metrics on posts they tag you or use your designated hashtag upon and immediately see a report that includes everything from engagement rate to ROI (assuming you plug in the costs and any sales attributed to them).
For the sake of this example, I plugged in some fake cost numbers for Instagram posts for a bourbon brand I knew a few influencers posted about recently. I then did my own Instagram Story to show that MightyScout pulls in Stories data, too. You can see from MightyScout’s overview report, the engagements, engagement rates, cost-per-engagment and even sales and ROI are all there. Looks like I need to work on my Instagram engagement rate. Ha!
The reports in MightyScout go further, pulling in the actual posts so you can not just report metrics, but show clients, executives or other stakeholders exactly what drove the analytics they see.
You can see from the Media Grid what was posted, the main metrics around the post and the handle or hashtag the influencer used that marked the post for your report. The reports can be exported as either a comma separated values (CSV) file or a PDF document, conveniently landscape oriented for easy insertion into slide presentations.
The best feature of MightyScout is how quick and simple it is to set up and measure a campaign. Like, if you’re dreading manually looking up 45 influencer’s metrics this week, don’t. Sign up for MightyScout now and you’ll save two, three … maybe even four hours of time. It’s so easy, I did a video tour to show you:
The Good About MightyScout
As you can tell, I’m impressed and excited. The good about the software is that it’s super easy to set up a campaign, load in your influencers and, assuming all your posts are tied to your handle or a hashtag, produce a detailed campaign report. The price is also pretty fantastic. For just $99 per month, you can track up to 50 influencers across two campaigns. Pricing goes up from there, but even small and medium businesses can afford MightyScout.
The Bad About MightyScout
The only negative that comes with using MightyScout is that it is limited to Instagram. If I had money to wager, however, I would bet that won’t be its only network for long. I’m sure you would agree that one thing customers will ask for right away is the ability to add Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and other social networks to the platform.
But MightyScout is what it promises to be: An incredible time-saver and easy-to-use Instagram Influencer Campaign reporting platform. I’ve not seen one as clean and simple to use. If you are primarily focused on driving influence campaigns on Instagram, this is a must-have tool for your measurement arsenal.
